Included among these friends was a couple living in Taitung on the southeast coast of the island. They had moved from Houston a few years previous so knew the place well. We were eager for their company and to see places we hadn't visited in previous trips. It was a great visit, and a "good time was had by all", as they say.
Our hotel was across the street from the train station, and I took the opportunity to snap a few of this building along the way.
