Bookmark - Survivor Tree

Captured while on a hike in Rocky Mountain National Park.  Love that place.  Each time we've been there we've taken one of the easier trails that passes Emerald Lake.

This was taken with the Nikon D300s (the Big Cahoona, as opposed to the Bigger Cahoona, which is the D850) zoomed all the way in.  Great with the vacation lens I used at the time; the pic below was snapped from exactly the same spot, zoomed all the way out.  As you can see, the Survivor Tree is barely discernible at the top of the rise:
