There were some leaves and other distracting objects on the windowsill, so they were removed from this shot. It brings great satisfaction to not only be able to lighten shadows, darken highlights, adjust color, and myriad other adjustments to make the picture look better technically, but also to literally remove objects to make it cleaner compositionally.In the shot below, I was lucky to get the entire group of ribbons against the dark blue of the curtains...
